Biography

Dr. Broomes is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is recognized by the American Board of Internal Medicine as having a focus on Hospital Medicine. According to the American Board of Internal Medicine, "The Focused Practice in Hospital Medicine (FPHM) MOC program assesses, recognizes and sets standards for the specific knowledge, skills and attitudes of general internists who focus their practice in the care of patients in an inpatient setting."

Dr. Broomes has been in practice as a hospitalist since 1999 in diverse settings and has extensive critical care experience as a hospitalist. In addition, Dr. Broomes has served in a variety of leadership roles which has contributed to his experience as an expert witness. In particular Dr. Broomes has extensive experience reviewing cases related to diagnostic errors, pre and post operative management, and supervising both Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
